Access to data
3TU.Datacentrum advises scientists to take measures during the course of current research projects with a view to high digital sustainability. The knowledge concerning the data is fully present at that time, so that the optimum description can be provided. Good metadata is vital to good retrievability.
We will provide advice and support with the setting up of a data lab.
After completion of the research, the data sets can be included in the data archive.
What data can be retrieved /reused?
3TU.Datacentrum intends to encourage the reuse of data. The data navigator component of the 3TU.Datacentrum website is a portal that provides access to managed measurement and research data and to data sets that are kept elsewhere in the world.
What search services and facilities does 3TU.Datacentrum provide?
We ensure that:
- You can quickly find the data you want. You can use a key-word search, but also an advanced search, using the name of an institute, researcher, date, collaboration, etc.
- You will obtain access to the data sets you find
- You will be able to navigate through them easily
- You can download your selected data, provided that it is not restricted by copyright
- You can easily reuse downloaded data or process it into your own document.
Is it necessary to register?
You are required to register initially in order to search or reuse data.
Is all the data stored at 3TU.Datacentrum freely accessible?
Data is only displayed if permission has been granted by the owner who has stored it at 3TU.Datacentrum.
